The New Way to Become an Elite Snowboarder... Even if You Don't Get to Ride a Lot
The science of getting better at snowboarding off the snow
The surprising secret of the best riders that you don’t know about
Most people assume those insane “good kids” out there on the mountain…
The people who learn snowboarding in one day…
Who hit the biggest jumps in the park…
Who learn tricks effortlessly, and outride their whole crew…
Most people assume those riders are either born different than the rest of us, or they have just gone mad and have no self preservation mechanism.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth at all..
The truth is, the very best riders know something you don’t. They are methodical, focused and disciplined, not out of control reckless individuals.
In fact, they’re just like you and me, they just know something you don’t.
Here’s how I know…

From Riding In the Rain on the East Coast with no snow to National Champion two years later...
I grew up on the east coast… like mid february rain closes the mountain for the whole season kind of east coast. We used to hike our 500ft vertical mountain in rain ponchos just to get a few more laps in. In fact, we liked it. It’s the one time of year it wasn’t pure ice.
The only problem was, with a super short season (sometimes didn’t open until after x-mas, and closed end of feb), it was hard to actually get better at snowboarding.
My Competition was Riding 210 Days a Year, While My Resort Opened After X-mas and Closed At the End of February
I didn’t grow up getting to ride a lot. Central Pennsylvania is not exactly known for it’s park laps.
I didn’t get to ride before x-mas, or until the end of March. It was January and February, and it we’re lucky, one week in to March

I had to figure out how to get good in 1/2 the time or better.

It wouldn’t matter, but I was obsessed with snowboarding and wanted to get better. My walls were covered in foldouts from Snowboarder magazine. My dreams were filled with 720’s and pow slashes.
I wanted to be the best.
But i was just an average ice coast kid, hoping to someday move to the big mountains of the rockies.
In fact, I used to be so bad at snowboarding, that I fell and broke my back at a local contest in front of my entire hometown.
It. Was. Humiliating.
But it was also a wake up call. To get better. To figure out how snowboarding really worked. And to become the best… even without having the best snow or longest season.
Two years later… and I was standing on the podium as a national collegiate champion.
My aunts, uncles and cousins were watching me on CBS, national television.
I couldn’t believe it. My plan had worked! And it’s worked for thousands of snowboarders since then, who want to get better at snowboarding in the offseason.
After Moving away From The mountains, I continued to Ride at a Top 1% Level
After winning a national championship, I moved away from the mountains down to the city because I thought it was time to get a “Real job.” What a mistake in retrospect…
But here’s the thing. I remember coming back to snowboard for the first day of the season in mid feb (I didn’t get out a lot at this time in my life), and sending a backflip off a cliff at vail, and stomping it. I still had it!
And it’s NOT just from hitting the gym.
We know that JUST getting fit isn’t enough otherwise every gym bro you see would absolutely shred it. But that’s not true. You have to combine it with the mind of a snowboarder.
It’s the UNIQUE combination of The Off Season shredder, a combination that took me TWENTY YEARS to learn.

The best riders aren’t who you’d expect them to be
See, the best riders aren’t always those kids who grew up riding Copper Mountain in Colorado, or Mammoth mountain in California.
In fact, they USUALLY aren’t those kids.
Shaun White grew up in San Diego, California.
I don’t know if you’ve looked at a map recently, but that’s not near the snow…
It has an average daily temperature of 66 degrees in mid January.

Shaun White Didn't Grow Up Near Snow
And Shaun didn’t get to be the GOAT because of where he was born.
Nope, once he was good enough, he moved to the mountains to perfect his skills.
Just like I did.
But something else got him to the level where he was good enough to say “you know what, if I move to the mountains now, I just might be able to be the best.”
Shaun is part of an exclusive club of riders that really makes a snowboarder….
Off-season training.
When My Girlfriend Asked to Learn How To Snowboard... In August, it finally clicked

Indy nosebone without ever having set foot on a snowboard

Indy nosebone without ever having set foot on a snowboard
When I first started coaching snowboarders, my students weren’t getting the results I wanted. I got frustrated and thought about giving up.
But then something strange happened. My girlfriend decided she wanted to learn to snowboard… in August. So I started to train her daily… without a snowboard.
Seriously. Here’s an indy nosebone before she ever set foot on a snowboard. She learned how to jib, how to jump, the strength training needed.
And then we brought her on snow. Taught her some basics. And she looked better than 90% of riders out there. I did the same thing.
You Can Become a Top 1% Rider, An "Off-Season Shredder" Even if You don't snowboard 100 days a year
You're 20 min/day away from becoming an absolute powerhouse
This can be done from anywhere, with $20 worth of equipment
And by off-season training, I don’t mean you need to train at Woodward every day, although it certainly doesn’t hurt if you live near one.
I mean, you need to practice the 5 daily disciplines that make extraordinary riders. That you can do at your home, with limited equipment and time.
ANYWHERE in the world.
I’ve practiced these in Thailand on the beach, in Pennsylvania out in a corn field, and in Colorado down in Denver, in the middle of a city.
These disciples don’t require any snow. Or expensive equipment. Or tons of time.
Nope.
They can easily be done by anyone who has the right plan and the right teacher.
And the willingness to give it a go, and learn to get better at snowboarding in the off season.
So you show up to the mountain next year, and your friends ask you “when did you get so good?”

Introducing: The Off-Season Shredder
The NEW way to show up to next snowboard season better than you are now with only 20min/day… guaranteed!
The #1 Program in the world to get better at snowboarding in the off-season:

The Five Daily Disciplines that you can do in 20min/day or less
Your Success Path

Start Here.
You snowboard, and want to get better. But unless you're one of the lucky few, you don't get to ride 200 days/yr. Maybe you want to learn new tricks, progress your riding, or you just don't want to spend all season getting back what you already had.

Get the training.
When you buy The Off-Season Shredder you get the roadmap to become better than you ever have before in just 20 min/day.

#1 Strength
We'll work on strengthening the muscles you need to ride harder, longer and get injured less. Not only will your snowboarding benefit, but so will the rest of your life

#2: Flexibility and Mobility
Strength doesn't do you much good if you can't even bend over far enough to reach your grabs (I'm looking at you Rad Dad's!) In order to prevent injury, improve your riding and make you feel a whole lot better in your body we have to work on 3 core areas of flexibility and mobility. Don't worry, no matter how inflexible you are right now, this is for you.

#4 Air Awareness
The motions of a backflip or a method grab don't change whether you took off from the snow, or the trampoline. The movement is exactly the same. The more times we can drill this movement, the easier it's going to come out on the hill and... the less you'll get wrecked trying something you don't already know how to do. Don't worry if you don't have a trampoline, you can practice this in to the pool, a pile of leaves or on the bounciest bed in your house.

#5 Balance and Skill Training
Learning to "jib" out on the mountain, in the cold with the hard steel and icy consequences is one thing. Learning to do it in the warmth of your living room with a soft carpet underneath is another. We'll show you low cost and more expensive options to create your setup (starting at $5) and how to train your balance, coordination and specific tricks.

Get Back Out There
Graduation day comes when you get back on the mountain. For most people, this is the day they start to work on getting back the skills they lost. For you, this is when you realize you're better than you've ever been and your friends ask you "when did you get so good??!"
What is included in the Off-Season Shredder?

The Five Daily Disciplines that you can do in 20min/day or less
We'll walk you through an easy to follow 5-day challenge that you can implement even if you're busy, or don't have a lot of time to train. We'll focus on consistency and establishing the habit of off-season training while easing you in to all the moves you have to know.

Strength and endurance program
From compound exercises that work the whole body, to accessory drills that hone in on your weaknesses and prevent injury, we've got you covered from a snowboard-centric strength training program.

Flexibility and mobility program
Coming from my 10+ years of yoga practice and Yoga teacher training, I'll break down the key movement to make it easier to get in to the movements you need to reach those grabs, avoid injuries and recover faster.

Balance and trick training Program
Learning to "jib" out on the mountain, in the cold with the hard steel and icy consequences is one thing. Learning to do it in the warmth of your living room with a soft carpet underneath is another. We'll show you low cost and more expensive options to create your setup (starting at $5) and how to train your balance, coordination and specific tricks.

Air awareness and jump training
The motions of a backflip or a method grab don't change whether you took off from the snow, or the trampoline. The movement is exactly the same. The more times we can drill this movement, the easier it's going to come out on the hill and... the less you'll get wrecked trying something you don't already know how to do. Don't worry if you don't have a trampoline, you can practice this in to the pool, a pile of leaves or on the bounciest bed in your house.

Mindset training
Just like Golf, snowboarding has a HUGE mental component. And just like the book "Zen Golf" mindset is something the pros flock to in order to improve their "inner game." We'll show you how to focus under pressure, get in the zone faster and lock in to flow to have more fun and stomp that trick you've been eyeing up.

We’ll break down a simple stretching routine, and show you how to tweak the heck out of your grabs.
So you have your own unique style, and have people stopping to stare when they hear those bindings squeaking.

BONUS# 2: "Snowboard Injuries and How to Prevent Them, Treat Them and Heal Them"
Most common snowboard injuries and how to fix them in the off season, as told by a professional Dr. in Physical Therapy.
BONUS# 3: Zen Snowboard Mindset Under Pressure
I don’t care if you’re dropping in for the last run of the olympics… or dropping in with the camera recording for the first time that day.

“I’m too old to shred hard”
Meet your instructor: Ed, the founder of #1 fastest growing snowboard school in the world right now
Certified Yoga instructor
Collegiate National Champion Snowboard Slopestyle
High-performance mentor
Ed has seen it all – shredding on the east coast, moving to Colorado, contest riding, national championships, riding pow, getting injured for years, coming back stronger than ever
But after coming back from a devastating crash at 17 years old, where he broke three bones in his back, and bruised his internal organs… and went on to win a national championship two years later…
His back injury returned to haunt him. And he found himself in his mid twenties with
Such bad back pain I couldn’t even sit up in bed…
He went to doctors, and they told him – don’t snowboard for 6 months, see if it goes away.
Which he did, and it did go away… only to come back immediately the next time he was out riding.
After going on a ski trip to Jackson Hole WY with two friends, and triggering his back flare up with a simple ollie over a roller…
Ed knew he had to take matters into his own hands.
Or else… It seemed the snowboard life was over for him.
After traveling the world, seeking out experts in yoga, strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, longevity and high performance, Ed completely turned his snowboard life around.
He was able to conceive, and launch EdShreds.Com, which is now the fastest growing snowboard school in the world and help millions of shredders all over the world to improve their skills, ride longer, harder and safely push their limits
